Can I take PI Institute courses online?

Yes. Courses are designed for online, self-paced learning so working investigators and future professionals can study around their schedule.

Do these courses guarantee a license?

No. We are Texas DPS Continuing Education School No. Y00105, but whether a course counts depends on your license, required topic, completion date, and current rules. We do not claim automatic acceptance outside documented approval. Review the State Credit Guide before relying on any course for renewal.

Can I use PI Institute courses for New Mexico PI renewal?

New Mexico requires private investigators to complete two continuing education hours per year, totaling six hours in a three-year renewal period, from an approved source. We do not currently hold blanket New Mexico approval. Before purchasing for New Mexico renewal credit, confirm the specific course with the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department. For applicable courses, we issue completion certificates you can submit as training documentation.

For applicable courses, we issue certificate documentation after completion so you have a record of your training.
